For over three decades, Concord has embraced the corporate citizenship role in the health and wellness of the communities we build in with expanding projects, both nationally and internationally. From charitable initiatives, programs, events, and more, we recognize the importance of uplifting the neighbourhoods we build in.
Tour de Concord is an opportunity to not only bring together cycling enthusiasts, but to also support and uphold the commitment to positively impact the community.
During the event, TREK, who provided Mayor Sim’s racing bike, also displayed the newest category of bikes taking the world by storm; E-bikes. Electric-assisted bikes are revolutionizing the power of cycling as transportation not just in Canada, but around the world.
Providing ease and efficiency for traveling longer distances, many countries in Europe, including Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, are witnessing this breakthrough in sustainable technology gaining market traction year over year.
“Europe e-bike market size attained a value of USD 20.29 billion in 2022. Aided by the growing popularity of e-bikes and support of governments in the region, the market is projected to further grow at a CAGR of 18.1% between 2023 and 2028, to reach a value of about USD 58.85 billion by 2028.”
